Cecile Milan Editorial is the byline used for Cecile Milan Journal’s team-produced content — pieces developed collaboratively rather than by a single writer. It draws on Cecile Milan’s day-to-day ecommerce experience, product research and real customer questions, following the standards set out in our Editorial Policy.
Looking for one place to check shoe sizing across every brand Cecile Milan carries? This guide replaces our old single-brand size chart pages with one complete reference: official US, UK, EU and CM conversions for Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Jordan, Hoka, Asics, On, Salomon, Birkenstock and UGG, plus a side-by-side look at how the brands compare at the same EU size.
How brands compare at EU 42 (men’s), at a glance
Shoe sizing isn’t standardized between brands — the same EU size can land on a different US number depending on the last a brand uses. Here’s where each brand’s men’s EU 42 falls in US sizing, so you can spot who runs close to the pack and who runs off it.

Full size charts by brand
Nike
Nike converts US to UK with a full-size offset (a US 10 is a UK 9, not a UK 9.5), which is the detail that trips up most first-time buyers coming from Adidas or New Balance. Use the tables below to convert between US, UK, EU and CM (foot length) sizing before you order. If you’re between two sizes, or want the full fit breakdown by model, see our Nike sizing guide. Foot length (CM) is the most reliable column if you’re converting from a brand outside the US/UK/EU system. Nike women’s sizes run on a separate last from men’s, roughly 1.5 US sizes larger at the same physical length — always convert using the women’s table below rather than adjusting the men’s chart.

Adidas
Adidas runs about half a size larger than most US brands, so a US 10 in Adidas typically converts to a UK 9.5 rather than the UK 9 you might expect elsewhere. Use the tables below to convert between US, UK, EU and CM (foot length) sizing before you order. If you’re between two sizes, or want the full fit breakdown by model, see our Adidas sizing guide. Foot length (CM) is the most reliable column if you’re converting from a brand outside the US/UK/EU system. Adidas women’s sizes run on the same last as men’s, offset by one US size — a men’s US 10 and a women’s US 11 share the same EU size and foot length.

Jordan
Jordan Brand uses the exact same size chart as Nike, since Jordan has been a Nike-owned brand since its founding — there is no separate Jordan-specific conversion to learn. Use the tables below to convert between US, UK, EU and CM (foot length) sizing before you order a pair of AJ1s, AJ4s, or any other retro. If you’re worried about counterfeit sizing or fit quirks by model, see our general sneaker sizing guide. Foot length (CM) is the most reliable column if you’re converting from a brand outside the US/UK/EU system. Jordan women’s sizes follow the same women’s last Nike uses across its range, roughly 1.5 US sizes larger than the men’s equivalent at the same foot length — always convert using the women’s table below rather than adjusting the men’s chart.

Hoka
Hoka generally runs true to size, with most wearers ordering their usual running-shoe size across models like the Clifton and Bondi. Use the tables below to convert between US, UK, EU and CM (foot length) sizing before you order. Foot length (CM) is the most reliable column if you’re converting from a brand outside the US/UK/EU system. Hoka women’s sizes are built on a dedicated women’s last, not just a shifted men’s size — always convert using the women’s table below rather than subtracting from the men’s chart.

Birkenstock
Birkenstock sizes its footbeds primarily by EU (Continental) size, with US and UK men’s/women’s labels layered on top — and most people find Birkenstocks run true to size to slightly roomy. Use the table below to convert between US, UK, EU and CM (footbed length) before you order. If you’re between two sizes, see our Birkenstock sizing guide. Footbed length (CM) is the most reliable column — Birkenstock footbeds are shaped, not just scaled, so matching your actual foot length matters more here than with a laced sneaker. Measure your foot length in centimeters from heel to the tip of your longest toe, standing rather than seated, and match it to the CM column — Birkenstock’s EU sizes each cover a half-size range on both the men’s and women’s US scale, which is why the table lists two US numbers per row. If you’re between two footbed lengths, most people size up rather than down, since a slightly larger footbed breaks in more comfortably than one that’s too short.

UGG
UGG runs true to size for most people, though the sheepskin lining packs down and loosens slightly with wear — many wearers find it worth sizing down if they’re between two sizes. Use the tables below to convert between US, UK, EU and CM (foot length) sizing before you order. If you’re between two sizes, see our UGG sizing guide. Foot length (CM) is the most reliable column if you’re converting from a brand outside the US/UK/EU system. UGG is predominantly a women’s-first brand, so the women’s range is the widest. UGG men’s sizes are offered on a separate last, not just a shifted women’s size — always convert using the men’s table below rather than subtracting from the women’s chart.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is EU size the most reliable way to compare brands? It’s a reasonable starting point, but foot shape and last width matter as much as the labeled size — when in doubt, check a brand’s own measurement-in-CM column against your actual foot length.
Why did Cecile Milan combine these guides into one page? We previously ran a separate page per brand. Having every brand in one place makes it far easier to actually compare sizing across brands, which is what most people checking a size chart are trying to do anyway.
Do these charts apply to every model from a brand? Mostly, but a handful of silhouettes (chunky trail or recovery shoes, for instance) can run differently from a brand’s general chart — check the specific product page notes when available.
Still not sure which size to order? Browse cecilemilan.com and check the size notes on the specific product page, or get in touch before ordering.

One response to “Sneaker & Shoe Size Chart: US, UK, EU & CM Conversion for Every Major Brand”
[…] Size charts tell you which number to order. They don’t tell you whether a brand’s toe box runs narrow, whether the upper stretches, or whether you should size up half a size. This guide covers that — real, brand-by-brand fit notes for every brand Cecile Milan carries, distilled from our in-depth fit testing. For the raw US/UK/EU/CM conversion numbers, see our complete size chart for every brand. […]
